85 years old, Mat was born February 10, 1929 in Camanse, Catron, Cebu the Philippines. He passed away on April 22, 2014 in Everett, Washington. Mat had worked as the Supervisory Administrative Officer for the United State Naval Base in the Philippines, a job that he and his family were very proud of. He was so capable at his job that the he was able to bring his family to the United States to live and work here. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catalina Matugas on July 26, 2009. Viewing will be on Thursday, May 1st starting at 9:00 AM and going until 5:00 PM at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills, Lynnwood. His Celebration of Life will be on Friday from 8:30 AM until 11:00 AM also at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills, followed by graveside service at 11:00 AM at Floral Hills Cemetery, Lynnwood.
