Mickey Lee Krom

Mickey Krom was born May 26, 1950, in Everett, WA to Walter and Crystal (Schweigert) Krom. He was raised in the Everett area attending Garfield and View Ridge Elementaries and South Junior High. He graduated in 1968 from Cascade High School. He graduated from Western in 1972 with a BA in Political Science.

Mickey and Linda Rounds were married in 1970. They moved to Spokane, where Mick attended law school at Gonzaga. They worked hard to accomplish this endeavor – working opposite shifts, studying until midnight, being broke, and missing family. Finally graduating in 1976, Mick passed his Bar Exam. He practiced law for 49 years in Snohomish and Yakima Counties, making many friends with fellow colleagues while he worked for the office of Public Defense. Mick was driven to help those who couldn’t help themselves, not knowing the laws of Washington State.

After 13 years of marriage, Mick and Linda welcomed baby Rebecca Suzanne, the joy of their lives. Becky preceded Mick in death through a tragic auto accident in 2021.

Mick leaves his wife Linda Rounds Krom; his uncles Jim (Pat) and George Schweigert; his father-in-law Don Rounds; his brother and sister-in-law Bud and Kimberly Krom; his brothers-in-law Lanny Rounds (Karen) and Mickey Rounds (Kathy); Debbie Rounds (widow of brother-in-law Dan Rounds); and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
