Raymond Chan, beloved by all who knew him, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2025, at the age of 79. He is survived by his wife, Maria, their son, Victor, his son’s partner, ManSee, and many siblings and relatives across America, Belgium, Canada, Europe, and the UK. Born on May 31st 1945 in Hong Kong, Raymond was a free spirit who embraced life with a carefree and joyful heart. His cheerful and uplifting nature brought light to those around him. He had an almost childlike curiosity and eagerness when exploring new interests—whether it was learning about personal computing in the early 1980s, venturing into new business opportunities, or pursuing diverse career paths. Among the many places he called home, Seattle held a special place in his heart. He found joy in helping others, a quality recognized by the award he received in 2022. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. We will forever remember the sparkle in his eyes and the joy on his face when he told his jokes, always bringing laughter to those around him. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor and celebrate his life. Due to the distance, we understand some may not be able to attend, but your thoughts and support are deeply appreciated.
A funeral service will be held on:
