

Dad went home on July 18 and is playing harmonica in heaven. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 9, 1926 to Fred and Lucy Keller.
Dad grew up on a farm in Iowa and moved to the Northwest where he met and married Phyllis Leora Fey in 1948. He graduated from Seattle Pacific University with an engineering degree and He completed his steam engineer license at the UW. He worked as a steam engineer until his retirement from Seattle Steam Co in 1992. He loved bluegrass music, and playing his harmonica and writing and singing songs at the Thumb Nail theater in Snohomish. He was quite a character in the Clearview community for the past 60 years. He loved tractors and always had one on his 6 acres that he so loved. He had his own backhoe and excavation business 1961 to 1966 with 3 tractors and 2 dump trucks. His crew was his three daughers, Maeve, Lanoree, and Leora. He was always happy and loved reading books, he had a photographic memory and could recite anything he read. We will miss his contagious laugh and sweet nature.
He is survived by his three daughers, Maeve Kelly, Lanoree (Mike) Garton, Leora (Sam) Aigbekaen, 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 1 new great-great granddaughter; Sister Yvonne Masten, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his beloved Phyllis, parents, Fred and Lucy, and sister Betty.
Graveside inurnment will be held at Floral Hills Cemetery at a later date. Day and time to be announced.
