Ronald E. Thompson, 70, was born on July 19, 1945 in Laramie, Wyoming to Earl and Sarah Thompson and passed away on October 10 in Everett, Washington. Ronald was a chief engineer for Hostess Bakery and a service technician for L. Wibbleman. He served in the Air Force and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant and was a member of the Masonic Lodge and its affiliates, as well as the American Legion. In 1998, Ronald received the Hiram Award from the Grand Lodge of Washington, and the Bronze Distinguished Service Medal in 2015. He was an avid sports and outdoorsman. Ronald will be deeply missed by his many friends and family, and is survived by his wife Norma, children Melisa Thompson and Earl Thompson, and grandchildren Sierra Thompson and Jonah Werdell, as well as his sister Janet Bush and brother Larry Thompson. Services will be held in the chapel at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills on Saturday October 17, at 1p.m.
