SHERRIE LYNN (MACK) VAUGHN

Sherrie Lynn Vaughn was born to Charles Mack and Oranesa Coleman on November 12, 1962, in Seattle, WA.

On May 21, 1988, Sherrie was united in marriage to the love of her life, Curtis Dale Vaughn. They resided in West Seattle. After a few years, they moved to Kent, WA. Then in 1994, they purchased their home in Lynnwood where they raised their children and lived a wonderful and full, loving life together. Their home was often open to friends and family members in need of a place to stay. Sherrie was raised in a Christian home and accepted the Lord at an early age. Sherrie was a long time member of the Beacon Avenue Church of God in Seattle. In the last few years, Sherrie had become a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Lynnwood. She loved singing in the Choir and participating in plays. She was a lover of sports, gardening, cooking, traveling, spending time with family, friends and enjoying her grandchildren. In 2000, she started working for Safeco as a Manager in the Wardrobe Distribution Center; then, the last year, she was an Elevator attendant until her illness overtook her ability to work in 2014. Sherrie’s life journey came to an end on September 7, 2015, after suffering a long battle with health issues.

She is survived by her Four Children: Rita, Charles, Shanaka, and Curdale; Sister: Kimmie (Lardell) Barton, Brothers: Lydell Coleman and Everett Coleman; Nieces: Tana and Sierra; Nephew: Kenny; Grandchildren: Taizonique, Ki’andrea, Diazonique, Tre’vantae, Kiani, Ta’veon, Anaya, Jazmine, Vanessa and Cobe; Great grandchild: Zsalaiah; Godchildren: Marquis Smith and Shalice Cobbs; a multitude of adopted family: Mother and Father in law: Bishop Willie and Minnie Vaughn; Brother in laws: Windell (Brenda), Jonathan (Donna), Donald (Trina), Pastor Alvin (Thomazine); Sister in laws: Dorothy, Vnittia, Erma, Willetta, Debra (Curtis) and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Sherrie was preceded in death by her Husband: Curtis Dale Vaughn, Father: Charles Mack, Mother: Oranesa Coleman, Sister: Tawanna Coleman and Goddaughter: Annastachia (White) Frazier.
