On March 30, 2013 we lost the most wonderful, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. At 82 years young he lost his battle with cancer and a broken heart.
He passed exactly one year to the day he lost the love of his life, Tammy, our wonderful mom, grandmother and great grandmother. He was never the same and joined her once again, on the one year anniversary of her passing.
Born May 28, 1930 to Bruce Forsythe and Marllyn Collett in Klamath Falls Oregon, Bill worked as a hard rock miner following his graduation from high school and proudly inlisted into the US Navy in 1951. He served on the USS Chemung in the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1954. Dad made many life long friends while serving in the Navy and very much enjoyed the yearly reunions and travel experiences with them.
Dad & Mom settled in Mountlake Terrace 1958 where he entered into the construction industry and began raising four children and expanding the two bedroom home. He lived in Mounlake Terrace throughout his working career all the time enjoying summers on Camano Island camping with their many friends on Madrona Beach, razor clam digging in Ocean Shores and attending their children and grand children's sporting events. He retired from Howard S. Wright Construction Company in 1992 where he worked as a superintendent for more than 25years.
When we look out over the skyline of Seattle we will always be reminded of dads involvement with so many projects that shaped the city such as the Space Needle, the Seattle Center Coliseum, The Monorail, the Columbia Tower and many many more. Following his retirement Bill and Tammy moved to Camano Island where they had spent so many enjoyable years unwinding on the weekends.
Bill is survived by his children, Susan (husband, Walt), Steve (wife, Marsha), Marc (wife, Hilary) and Jon (wife, Kirsten), grandchildren, David, Larry (wife, Denise), Nicole (husband, Josh), Michael (wife, Amber), Matthew, Wes (wife, Kelly), Keri (husband, Matt), Lindsey, Brad, Nick, Chandler; great grandchildren, Abbey, Randi, Rowen, Ava, Ellis, Emily, Maia, Matheryn, Katelyn, Addison, Brendan and Nolan; his beloved dog Annie and his parrot Daisy and the many friends that shared dad's life.
Bill loved his family so much and it was not unusual to see him watching all of us with a tear in his eye. He was always there for anyone who needed a hand, and we could always depend on him to fix anything that needed fixing. Besides being with family he loved sports, fishing, crabbing, being on the water and enjoyed playing black jack at a local casino.
He was a quiet, reserved, gentle man with a great sense of humor. He left behind so many people who love him. We miss him deeply but he will live in our hearts forever.

A private memorial will be announced at a later date.
