Mrs. Agnes Long, 83, died early Sunday morning, May 18, 2014, loved by her family. Funeral services will be held at 11 o’clock, Wednesday, May 21, in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will follow, in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 o’clock. Those who wish, are encouraged to make memorial contributions to Bellevue Baptist Church, 5925 Price Road, Macon, GA 31220.
Mrs. Long, daughter of the late Robert Allen and Lizzie Mae Lewis Herring, was born in Macon in 1931. She attended Clisby School and was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church. Mrs. Long was a homemaker and a loving mother.
Surviving Mrs. Long are her husband of 62 years, Ed Long; son, Eddie (Jan) Long; daughter, Debra (Bub) Taylor; granddaughters, Dawn (Dave) Musgrove and Crystal Taylor; brother, Ray Herring; and close friend that she considered a brother, Kenneth Goodson.
