

Alma D. McCallum, 100, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2013. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Terry J. Ross and the Rev. James J. Ross officiating. The family will meet friends on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Mrs. McCallum was born in Macon, GA to the late Benjamin and Linda Mae Drawhorn. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. McCallum, her brothers and their wives, Oliver (Mandy)Drawhorn, Elmo Drawhorn, Joe (Hazel) Drawhorn, Horace (Clyde) Drawhorn, James (Linda) Drawhorn, Wallace (Freddie) Edwards, her sisters and their husbands, Gertrude (Johnsie) Tidwell, and Helen (Amos) Lewis, nephews, Gene, Phillip, Mike, Dennis, and son-in-law, W.C. McElmurray, and infant son and three special friends, Jewel Bennett, Fannie Chambliss, and Dorothy Morrison.
She was a member of Midway Baptist Church and the Golden Fellowship. She was retired from Happ Brothers. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff of Gentiva Hospice for the care given to their mother.
She is survived by her two daughters, Betty McElmurray of Lizella and Johnsie (Joe) Ross of Macon, five grandsons, Kevin (Sherri) McElmurray, Kendall (Amanda) McElmurray, Gary (Sheryl) Buffkin, Terry (Danielle) Ross, and James (Dawn) Ross, one great granddaughter, Shayne Smarr, great grandchildren, Cole McElmurray, Makenize McElmurray, Nathaniel Ross and Kaleb Patat and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
