Andrew “Andy” William Zambelli, 92, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, October 23, 2017. A Celebration of his Life will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Neal Wall and the Rev. Jim Duggan officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bellevue Baptist Church, 5925 Price Road, Macon GA 31220.
Andy was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Peter and Victoria Fioretti Zambelli. He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Margaret L. Zambelli. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II and then retired after twenty years in the National Guard. Andy was retired from Robins Air Force Base after forty years of service. He was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, worked with the youth and was honored as the best cook ever at Bellevue Baptist Church. Andy enjoyed bowling in many leagues and playing golf around Georgia. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his son, Ken and daughter-in-law, Gloria Zambelli of Cave Creek, AZ, grandchildren, Andrew Curmanskie of Miami, and Amanda Mozingo of Miami and three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
