Ann T. Evans

Ann T. Evans, 70, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2013. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Rogers officiating. The family will meet friends on Sunday, June 16, 2013 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Donations may be made to Serenity Hospice, 510 Bellevue Ave., Dublin GA 31021.

Mrs. Evans was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Daniel R. and Martha H. Thomas. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Jean Ellen Rowe and Marion Dannette Calhoun. Mrs. Thomas was an office manager with Multi-Prop Services and was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church. She was a member of the Women of the Moose and “The Red Hat Society”. Mrs. Evans enjoyed cooking and camping and was a devoted and loving, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Evans of Macon, two daughters, Kimberly Ann Meadows of Milledgeville, Wanda L. Swann of Macon, Melvin “Wiggle” Grimsley, Jr. of Twiggs, Co., seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two stepchildren, Jennifer L. (Scott) Biddulph of Canton, Michael (Libby) Evans of Byron, brother, Daniel F. (Dianne) Thomas of Jacksonville, FL, sisters, Faye T. (Cliff) Higbee of Newnan, GA, Katherine T. (Homer) Coley of Gray, ex-husband, Jerry Meadows of Milledgeville, several nieces and nephews, best friend, Connie Meeks of Macon, and her beloved pet ,“Chance."
