

Ann Rhuenelle Snow Lisenby, 86, went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, October 21, 2016. She was residing with her daughter Debbie Lanier in Snellville, GA at the time of her passing. A Celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Fred Giles officiating.
Ann was a lifelong resident of Macon, Georgia. She was born on July 25, 1930. Ann was preceded in death by her parents George Norman Snow II and Essie Daniels Snow, brother, George Norman Snow III, husband of fifty five years, J.D. Lisenby and grandson, Anson Brent Lanier. Ann was beautiful inside and out. She was loved by everyone who knew her. She was also an excellent cook. Once Inez Henry, author of Miracle in the Mountain, at a banquet given in her honor, announced the real miracle is Ann Lisenby’s apple pies. Ann had made enough pies to feed the 200 guest at the banquet. Ann was known for her sweetness, strong faith, sense of humor, generosity and excellent baking skills.
Ann attended A.L. Miller High, Cornell University Business College and Macon State College. She was employed by Piggly Wiggly Southern for thirty five years. Later, she was the Branch Manager of Darity Realty Company.
Ann was a member of Second Baptist Church teaching Sunday school. Later, she was a member of Mabel White Baptist Church. Ann was a longtime member of Macon Business and Professional Woman’s Organization serving as President in 1996-1998. An American flag was flown in her honor in Washington DC on March 14, 1998. She was a member of Scots, the Women’s Organization to support Scottish Rites. She was a member of the American Legion DAV Auxiliary and the International Toast Mistress Club. One of her speeches won the best in the state.
Ann is survived by her son, Michael Lisenby (wife, Nancy) and daughter Debbie Lanier (husband, Don), grandchildren, Michael Lanier, Brent Lanier (Heaven), Erin Lanier Oates (husband, Wyatt), Joseph Lisenby, Jamie Lisenby Freiberg (husband, Jeff), great granddaughter, Lily Annelise Oates, brother-in-law, Ted Lisenby, nieces, nephews and many friends.
