Arthur Burke Chapman, Jr., 88, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016. A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The National Kidney Foundation, www.kidney.org/support or to the donor’s favorite charity.
Mr. Chapman was born in Lizella, Georgia to the late Arthur Burke Chapman, Sr. and Alma Gordon Chapman. He was the Owner of Chapman’s Bait & Tackle and served in the United States Army. Mr. Chapman was a member of the Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his son, Scott Chapman.
Survivors include his companion of 14 years, Nadine Simpson; children, Judy Ray, Cathy (Jeff) Pyles, Lynn Davidson, Suzanne (Mike) Cincola and Greg Chapman; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
