Barbara E. O’Rourke, 68, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2012. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 12, 2012 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the residence, 2958 Alfred Drive, Macon GA 31206. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Central Georgia, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31210.
Mrs. O’Rourke was born in Oglethorpe, Georgia to the late Arnold and Margaret Rigby Payne. She was retired from the Colonial Mall of Macon. She was a devoted and loving, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.
She is survived by her husband, Joe O’Rourke of Macon, four daughters; Debbie (Jimmy) Peterson of Rincon, Cindy (Jimmy) Chamblee of Roberta, Carol (Harvey) Meeks of Jones, Co., Angela (Scott) Blanchard of Ellabell, GA, eleven grandchildren, one great grandchild, two sisters; Ann Lester and Sandra Clark of Macon, brother; Kenny Payne of Macon, sister-in-law; Pauline Payne of Macon.
