Barbara Jean Bruce Snyder, 85, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026. A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Dziadul officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105.
Barbara was born in Anderson, South Carolina to the late Charles and Dessie Mae Kellum Bruce. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Cleveland Snyder, siblings, Charles Bruce, Patsy Kay and Gloria Gallian. Barbara was a former owner of a Daycare and was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.
She is survived by her children, Brian (Mary Ann) Snyder of Macon, Cecilia (Mitch) Woodard of Forsyth, grandchildren, Derek Woodard, Jessica (Stephen) Pipkin, Haley (Trey) Shoemaker, Allyson (Edgard) Zaldua, and Kristen Snyder-Binsick (Lucas Binsick Snyder), great grandchildren, Heath Woodard, Isaac, Phillip, Laura Pipkin, Rebekah, Summer, Titus Shoemaker, and Adelyn Rae Zaldua.
