Bessie Johnson Williams, 77, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, July 16, 2017. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Dziadul officiating. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends Friday night from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon, 31201.
Bessie was born in Garfield, Georgia to the late Robert Lee Johnson and Georgia Kay Johnson and was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Derrell Williams, Sr. and three brothers. She was a homemaker and member of Midway Baptist Church. Bessie loved bowling, sewing, gardening, but most of all, her family.
Survivors include her children, Jerry “Derrell” Williams, Jr. (Lisa) and Patty Williams Duncan (Derrick); grandchildren, Joshua Williams, Courtney Williams, Ciara Haugabrook, Anthony Haugabrook Jr. and Aaron Haugabrook; sister, Kathleen Cowart and several nieces and nephews.
