Betty “Bo Peep” Jean Staines, 83, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Pine Pointe Hospice. Graveside services will be held, Friday, July 17, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Willie Crosby officiating. The family will greet friends on Thursday, July 16, 2015 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Mrs. Staines was born in Chester, Georgia, to the late J. Morgan and Clara Mae Brown Bryant, and was preceded in death by her husband, James William Staines and daughter, Dot Griffin. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Staines was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.
Survivors include her son, Wayne (Linda) Staines of Macon; daughters, Diane (Bo) Warren of Macon, Traci (Ronald) Bedenbaugh of Juliette, Myrle (Jesse) Cleverly of Butte, MT and Ruby Peavey of Macon; grandchildren, Jeff (Kathy) Staines, Jason Griffin, Trae (Jennifer) Davis and Crystal (Terry) Baxter; seven great grandchildren; and brother, William Bryant.
