Mrs. Betty Morris Utley age 86, died Friday, February 13, 2015, at her residence. Graveside services will be conducted Monday, February 16, 2015, at 11:00am at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Keithen Tucker officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 15, 2015, from 6:00-8:00pm at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.
She was born in Macon, GA, November 4, 1928, to the late M.L. and Marguerite Kaigler Morris. Mrs. Utley was a long time employee of Dillard’s Lad and Lassie Children’s Shop as well as a member of St. James Episcopal Church. She loved flowers and was an avid gardener.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Rhodes Utley.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara E. Utley; son, Gerry Utley (Gina Elliott); brothers, John Morris and Charles Wendell Morris, two grandchildren, Brian Utley (Jennifer) and Kimberly Johnson as well as four great grandchildren, Sara, Will, Taylor and Kahlen.
