

Mr. Billy B. Williams of Fort Lauderdale, Florida died on February 2, 2016. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 7, 2016 at 2:00pm in the Mausoleum Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with entombment in the Mausoleum. The family will greet friends an hour prior to the service.
Mr. Williams was born in Lake Village, Arkansas and raised in Macon, Georgia. After serving as an Officer in the Army, he pursued a career in government. Throughout his career in the government contracting field, he served in several high level positions for the Department of the Air Force, the Secretary of Defense and Secretary of the Navy and subsequently, he was appointed as a member of the Senior Executive Service. At the time of his retirement, he was the Executive Director of Procurement for the Defense Logistics Agency. During his 36 years of government service, Mr. Williams received numerous recognitions for his outstanding and meritorious service including each Department and agency in highest civilian service awards.
Mr. Williams was a graduate from Mercer University and the Industrial College of the Armed Forces.
Mr. Williams was a former President of the Bon Hommes Society of Macon and a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents, Annie Price Williams and Bentley L. Williams and his brother Edward L. Williams. Survivors include his nephews, Jeffery B. Williams and wife, Bobbi Williams of Byron, Georgia and Randal E. Williams of Charlotte, North Carolina.
