After serving in the United States Air Force for 4 ½ years, Mr. Mayton worked as an accountant for Dry Branch Kaolin for 40 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
Mr. Mayton is survived by his wife, Sally Cobb Mayton; daughter, Desiree Mayton Palmer; grandchildren, Shelby Cook (Trent) and Nicholas Palmer.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 20, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 21, at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home, with burial to follow at 3:00 PM at Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald, Georgia. Rev. Lanny Earley will officiate.
