Cheryl Patricia “Patsy” Baker, 65, passed away on Thursday, October 06, 2011. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Baggett officiating. The family will greet friends on Saturday, October 8, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children’s Hospital, Medical Center of Central Georgia, 777 Hemlock St., Macon GA 31201.
She was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Phillip and Jessie Daniels McCord. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Ronald McCord and Jeanie Sauls. Mrs. Baker was a member of New Elim Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Luther “Gene” Baker of Macon, two sons, Mark Baker of Macon, Paul (Rose) Baker of Macon, and grandson, Christopher Brandon Baker of Macon.
