MACON – Darlene Allen Robinson, 72, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Grady Mimbs will officiate. The family will meet friends from 2 p.m. to service time on Saturday at the funeral home.Those who wish to make memorial contributions do so to Porterfield Baptist Church, 2910 Allen Road, Macon 31216.
Mrs. Robinson, wife of the late Benjamin Carroll Robinson, was born in Corning, AR the daughter of the late Rosco and Goldie Allen. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Eldon and Paul Allen. Mrs. Robinson was an office nurse, retired from Rivoli Orthopedics and worked for the late Dr. A. M. Phillips and Dr. Jimmy Asbell and was a member of Porterfield Baptist Church.
She is survived by her beloved family, her daughters Melinda Stokes, Paula Steinberg and Karen (Gary) Minter, all of Macon; her grandchildren, Ryan (Keith) Marsh, Chris Steinberg, Katie Bledsoe, Jordan Steinberg, Reese Stokes and Bayly Steinberg; her great grandson, Benjamin Marsh; her brother, Dean (Martha) Allen of San Francisco, sister-in-law Glenda Allen of Las Vegas and several nieces and nephews.
