MACON – Donna Spears Butler, 68, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2010 at a local hospice care facility. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 23, 2010 in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Monroe Hill Memorial Gardens, Forsyth. The Rev. Joe McDaniel will officiate. The family will meet friends from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and may be contacted at the residence. They suggest that those who wish may make memorial contributions to Compassion International, 12290 Voyager Parkway, Colorado Springs, CO 80921.
Mrs. Butler, daughter of the late Clyde Spears, was born in Atlanta and was retired from FAA after several years. She was a member of Mabel White Memorial Baptist Church and was a devoted homemaker.
She is survived by those who loved her most, her husband of forty-five years, Joseph “Woody” Butler of Macon; her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Julie Butler of Sharpsburg, GA; her mother, Ruth Spears of Watkinsville, GA; her beloved grandchildren, Anna, Michael and Emily Butler, all of Sharpsburg and many nieces and nephews.
