Edmond Schell Reynolds, 65, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 11, 2011. Funeral services and a celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will greet friends on Monday, September 12, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home or may be contacted at the residence.
Mr. Reynolds was born in Macon, Georgia to the late William R. and Virginia Schell Reynolds. He served his country in the United States Army, 101 Airborne Rangers during the Vietnam Conflict. Mr. Reynolds received many decorations, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/3 Bronze Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/1960 Device, Combat Infantryman Badge (1st Award), Good Conduct Medal, Overseas Bar, Sharpshooter (M-14). He was a member of Masonic Lodge #5 F&AM. He was a devoted husband, daddy, papa, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his loving wife, Melba Mitchell Reynolds of Centerville, six daughters, Robin (Melvin) McCook of Ivey, Lisa Reynolds of Macon, Mandy (Mike) Kline of Macon, Angela Reynolds of Byron, Sandy (Erik) Hill of Fort Valley, Brandy (Jeffrey) Bloodworth of Pineview, Ga, eighteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, sister, Joy (Bobby) Hamby of Newberry, SC, niece, Debbie Davis of Summerville, SC and nephew, Eric Bartlett of Atlanta.
