Born in Boston, MA, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late William and Mary Lyons McCarthy. She was preceded in death by her son, Stephen McDonald. Elizabeth retired from the Massachusetts Police Department in Dedham, where she served with dedication in the animal control division.
Elizabeth's personality was larger than life. She had a gift of decorating, a deep love for visiting the ocean, and a natural talent for keeping everyone around her laughing. She fought a courageous battle with vascular dementia, meeting each day with strength and resilience. Above all, she was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter, Marie (Alex) Warren of Forsyth and her grandson, Stephen Warren of Forsyth.
