Emma Nell Whitaker, 91, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2014. A celebration of a most wonderful life will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home in Macon and burial will follow at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Jim Cowart officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to service time at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Harvest Church- UMC, 3322 Hwy 41 North, Byron GA 31008.
Mrs. Whitaker was born in Dublin, GA to the late Oscar and Myrtle Beacham. She was preceded in death by her husband, Huby M. Whitaker, daughter, Terri Toole and twelve brothers and sisters. Mrs. Whitaker was a lifelong homemaker and a devoted Christian with her membership at Stone Creek Baptist Church in Dry Branch. She spent her entire lifetime serving others through her love and friendship

She is survived by her daughter, Pam (Glenn) Floyd, granddaughters; Jessica (Kris) Mills, Heather (Kevin) Poole and six great grandchildren.
