

Emmie Lou Jones, 94, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at the Oaks at Peake. A Celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2014 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe McDaniel officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon GA 31210.
Mrs. Jones was born March 17, 1920 in Baldwin County, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Charlie & Ola Mae Moore, husband, Ozie Jones, son, Roger D. Jones, grandsons, Rod Jones and Greg Jones, brother, Oren Moore, sisters, Odell Philips, LaVerne Mills Sanders, Alva Mellinger and Myrtle Wilson.
Mrs. Jones was employed by Willingham Mills for 30 plus years and eventually retired from Coliseum Park Hospital. Mrs. Jones was dedicated to her family, friends and neighbors.
She leaves behind to cherish her love of life a loving family which includes , son Mickey Jones and daughter-in-law; Sandra of Winston-Salem, NC, grandchildren; Kelli Rajacich of Burlington, Connecticut and Blake Jones of Winston-Salem, NC, Brad Jones of Covington, GA, great grandchildren; Ava & Sarah Rajacich of Burlington CT., and Grayson and Cooper Jones of Winston-Salem, NC., twin brother; Emmett Lee Moore of Bartonville, Texas, sisters; Fay Ellerbee, Carolyn Norris of Macon, GA., LaRue Babbitt of Bryon, GA, and LaVelle Hedrick of Prattville, AL and a very special close friend; Thelma Timley of Macon, GA and several nieces and nephews.
