Gerrell Wayne Smith

Gerrell Wayne Smith, 71, passed away after an extended illness on Saturday, May 22, 2021. His life will be celebrated on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 3 o'clock, in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 2 until 3 o'clock.

Wayne was born in Macon to the late Howard and Susie Reeves Smith. He attended Lanier High School and worked until his retirement from TexPrint. He loved his family, the game of golf, drag racing, and his fur babies. Gerrell never missed an opportunity to spend time with family at events and gatherings. His granddaughters held the keys to his heart.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 37 years, Kathy Norris Smith; son, Wesley Wayne Smith; daughter, Angela K. Smith Langley (Bobby); grandchildren, Gwynnavere Langley, Leslee Langley; sister, Karen LeBow (Gary); brother in law, Charles Norris; sister in law, Kay Davidson (Randy); several nieces, nephews and extended family.
