Golston Cornelius Walker, 100, passed away Thursday, March 02, 2017 and is now in the arms of his loving Lord and Savior. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Robby Kerr will officiate. The family will greet friends beginning at 1:00 PM and asks that those who wish make donations to the donor’s favorite charity. The Sincerity Lodge #430 will perform Mason Rites at the cemetery. The family would like to express their appreciation and love to all the friends who helped to enrich his full life.
Mr. Walker was born in Blue Springs, Alabama the son of the late Donie Weston Walker and William Albert Walker. He was a self-employed real estate broker and was a United States Army/Air Corps veteran. Mr. Walker was a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason having begun his membership with the Ft. Hawkins Lodge #418 and then transferring to Gray Lodge #430.
Mr. Walker is survived by his wife, Mary Knight Walker of Macon; children, Carolyn Shepherd (David) of Atlanta, Marilyn Grisard (Bill) of Longboat Key, FL, Barbara Shepherd (Carl) of Tucker, Wayne Walker (Lisa) of Macon; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandsons; brother, Darrell Walker of Montgomery, Alabama; loyal family member, Fannie Towles.
