Herchell Roderick "Rodney" Stone Sr.

Herchell Roderick Stone, Sr., 55, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018. A celebration of his life will be held Monday, March 19, 2018 at 12:00pm in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Pastor Rob Farr officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends from 11:00am until the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bridges of Hope, 74 C L Tucker Drive, Chauncey, GA, 31011 or the Macon Rescue Mission, 774 Hazel Street, Macon, GA, 31201.

Herchell was born in Macon, Georgia to Carolyn Souther Stone and the late Herchell Stone and was preceded in death by his sister, Regina Cox. He was of the Baptist faith and was self-employed by Golden Flake. Herchell was a family man, selfless and was a volunteer with the Macon Rescue Mission.

He is survived by his wife of twenty six years, Patty Stone of Macon, children; Ashley Stone, Melinda Woodard (Josh Howard) Rod Stone, and Alexis Stone, grandchildren; Anna Claire Howard, Maddie Howard, Emma Howard, Abbi Kitchens, and Lucas Kitchens, siblings; Rene Lassiter and Romel Peacock and several nieces and nephews.
