MACON - Hettie Frances "Pet" Brown, 87, passed away Friday, February 18, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 3P.M. Tuesday in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Eugene C. Cochran and Rev. Tom Ivey will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home and requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Shurlington United Methodist Church, 2060 Shurling Drive, Macon or the American Diabetes Association , P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312. -Mrs. Brown was born in Macon and was a homemaker, and will be remembered as a special and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She was a member of Shurlington United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the Young at Heart and a former member of the Pacesetters. Mrs. Brown was the widow of Charles M. Brown and the daughter of the late Ernest A. and Hettie Maples Barfield.
