James “Jim” A. Wagner, USN (Ret) 77, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2015. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Martha Bowman United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tim Steffen officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon GA 31210 or Martha Bowman United Methodist Church, 500 Bass Road, Macon GA 31210.
Jim was born in Oil City, PA to the late Howard and Norine Wagner. He served his country diligently in the United States Navy and retired as a Naval Aviator and mechanical engineer. Jim was a member of Martha Bowman United Methodist Church and the Roundtable Group. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mildred “Boots” Wagner of Macon, children; Cindy (Scott) Hagen of Macon, Jon (Lynn) Wagner of Shelby Township, MI., grandchildren, James David, Mathew and Heather Wagner, sister, Joy Woodford of Reston, VA.
