James Mathis Lowery, 45, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at a local hospital. A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 15, 2015 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Cody Fountain officiating. Burial will be private. The family will meet friends from 1 p.m. to service time on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at the Funeral Home.
Mr. Lowery was born in Dublin and had lived in Macon most of his life. He was a great help in establishing and was a partner in Louis Lowery Gardens. His happiness moments were spent with his family and friends watching football and gardening. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, W. T. Lewis.
Survivors include those he loved most, his mother, Shirley Mathis Lewis of Macon; his father, Louis Lowery of Macon; sister, Talitha (Alan) Bentley of Forsyth; brother, Joel Lowery of Macon; stepbrother, Gary Lewis of Macon; stepsister, Pat Williams of Warner Robins; nephews, Ben, Triston, Aaron and Carson; his niece, Megan and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
