James Anthony Lynn passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024. The family will greet friends on Thursday, June 13, 2024 beginning at 10:00 am with a celebration of life service to follow at 11:00 am in the chapel of Snow’s at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Dr. Josh Gale officiating. Burial will follow the service at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with military honors.
James was born in Macon, Ga to the late Vonzelle and James Lynn. He retired as a clerk for the United States Postal Service and was a man of the Baptist faith. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather.
James is preceded in death by the love of his life, Margaret L. Lynn; two sons, Michael Anthony and Joseph Delbert Lynn; brother, Robert H. Lynn; great-grandchild, Leilani Lynn; and great-great-grandchild, Braelyn Adkins.
Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Charles Thomas Johnson; five grandchildren; Todd Johnson (Heather); Anthony Lynn; Benjamin Johnson; Hannah Johnson and Cody Moss (Megan); great-grandchildren, Presley Lynn; Skyler Johnson; Alyssa Adkins, Cooper Moss, Dorothy Moss and Ali-K Hardy ;great-great grandchild, Brantley Anderson; brother, Jerry K. Lynn and sister-in-laws, Connie Whorton and Nancy Lynn.
