Jimmy was born June 8, 1942, to the late James Julius and Evelyn Livingston Wilder, in Macon, Georgia. He lived in the Middle Georgia area all of his life, working for the Macon Water Authority and retiring after 35 years of service. Jimmy loved his family and was seen as a father figure for many children in his neighborhood. He coached slow pitch softball for Bloomfield Recreation from the 1970's into the late 1990's and would, to this day, have former players stop by to check on "Coach".
Mr. Wilder was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy "Dot" Wilder, in January of 2012.
Left to cherish his memory and carry his legacy are his son, Roger Wilder and wife Kimberly, of Stockbridge; daughter, Donna M. Wilder of Lincoln, Nebraska; grandchildren, Victoria Zuchowski and husband Derek; Cameron Wilder and wife Haley; and Emma Wilder; several very close friends; and a host of lives he had touched coaching and encouraging.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.maconmp.com for the Wilder family.
