MACON, GA – Jerry Paul Greene, 84, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2010. Funeral services and a celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Aubrey L. Sheats officiating. The family will greet friends on Friday, July 23, 2010 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Mr. Greene was born in Jones County to the late Otis and Retha Greene. He was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church, Hallelujah Sunday School Class and the Senior Adult Ministry. Mr. Greene was retired from the United States Air Force Reserves and Robins Air Force Base. His hobby was small engines and enjoyed working on lawn mowers.
He is survived by his loving wife, Laverne E. Greene of Macon, daughter, Paulette (Bob) Winn of Spotsylvania, VA, son, Donnie Greene of Macon, two grandchildren, Brian Winn of Salisbury, NC and Dr. Rob (Christine) Winn of Philadelphia, PA, two great grandchildren, Holly Winn and Taryn Higgins and sister, Marie Cook of Gray.
