John J. O’Shaughnessy, 77, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2016. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. A Rosary will be held on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Father Michael Kavanaugh. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to donor’s favorite charity.
John was born in New York City, NY to the late James and Bridget O’Shaughnessy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn H. O’Shaughnessy and two sisters. He served in the United States Air Force and was assigned to Squadron 308 at Hunter Air Force Base. John was retired from Robins Air Force Base. John was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his daughter, Theresa Law of Macon, son, Mike (Shannon) O’Shaughnessy of Temecula, CA, grandchildren, Riley Law of Macon, Bridie Law of Decatur, John Connor and Sheridan O’Shaughnessy of Temecula, and several nieces and nephews.
