John Curtis Walker, Jr., 76, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2010. Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 30, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Clinton Fields and Charlie Simmons officiating. The family will greet friends on Sunday, August 29, 2010 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 5962 Zebulon Road, Macon GA 31210, American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry St., Macon GA 31201 or to Vista Care Hospice, 750 Baconsfield Drive, Macon GA 31211.
Mr. Walker was born to the late John C. and Susie Smarr Walker, Sr. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha G. Walker and a grandson, David Walker. Mr. Walker was retired from Kinnett Dairies as a salesperson.
He is survived by three daughters, three sons, five step-daughters, and three step-sons, eight grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
