Johnny Frank Murray, 89, of Tennessee passed in June 2023. Friends are invited to a visitation Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch. A second visitation will be held in Macon, Georgia on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 from 5 until 7 PM at Snow's Funerals and Cremations at Macon Memorial Park. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 12:00 Noon in the Macon Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with entombment in the Mausoleum. Military services will be performed by the United States Army.
Johnny, formerly of Georgia, lived in Shelby County for 62 years. He served in the United States Army and National Guard. He worked as a civil servant for several years after his departure from the Military. He was also an avid sports fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves sports teams, and enjoyed the days spent watching each of them.
Above all, he was a loving husband, caring father, and passionate grandfather to those who cherished him the most.
Johnny is survived by his two daughters, Rhonda (Jerry) and Becky (Larry); six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Laura Morgan.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Kay Murray; his parents, Albert and Ruby Murray; and his sister, Evelyn Wesley.
