Macon, GA- The family of Joy Ann Cox, 59, regretfully announces her death having taken place on September 23, 2012. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 25 at 11 o'clock in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Rex Odom will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society , 804 Cherry Street, Macon, GA 31201.
Ms. Cox was born on March 25, 1953 in Macon to the late Ray W. Cox and Sara H. Cox. She is preceded in death by a brother Bill Cox. Joy enjoyed photography, painting, going out to movies, and the company of her many friends and family. Joy was a graduate of Dudley Hughes High School. She was co-owner of Cox Seafood and also helped her brother at Cox Café. Joy was one of the kindest people you would ever meet. She was of the Methodist faith.
Joy is survived by her brothers, Steve and David Cox; sisters, Harriet (Doug) Hetzel, of Summerville, SC. and Francis "Hoppy" Cox of Macon.
