Joyce Moran Price

MACON - Joyce Moran Price, 75, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2010 at her residence with her family at her side. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Cile Mitchell officiating. The family will meet friends from 1 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. They suggest that those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Central Georgia, 6261 Peake Road, Macon 31210 or to Bloomfield United Methodist Church, 5511 Bloomfield Road, Macon 31206.

Mrs. Price, daughter of the late W. A. and Annie Louis Baker Moran, was born in Manchester and was personnel manager retired from the U. S. Government after thirty-five years. She was a member of Bloomfield United Methodist where she served as president of the United Methodist Women. Mrs. Price was preceded in death by her grandson, David Brian Pipkin, her siblings, Rayburn Moran, Bob Moran and Annette Gilson and her mother-in-law, Rosa Emma Price .

Survivors include her family whom she adored, her husband of fifty-seven years, Douglas Price, Sr. of Macon; her daughter, Diane Chamblee of Macon; her son, Douglas "Dan" Price, Jr. of Macon; her granddaughter, Paige Pipkin (Stephen) Shadrick of Keller, TX; her great granddaughter, Olivia Lyles Shadrick of Keller, TX; her sister, Juanita McRae of Riverdale; her brother, Mac (Minnie Lou) Moran of Kathleen and numerous nieces and nephews.
