Ken was the son of the late Marvin A. and Ruby Stiles Massey. Born and raised in Shannon, Georgia where he met and married the love of his life, Phyllis Ann Thomas. They were married for 55 years. Ken was a hardworking man and devoted husband. Early in his marriage he worked two jobs, as a draftsman at Lock-Keyed and as a vender to support and provide for their family of three rambunctious boys. After being laid off from Lock-Keyed, he got a job working at McDonald’s as a potato peeler. It wasn’t long before he was made a store manager and ultimately owned and operated McDonald’s in the Middle Georgia area. He retired after thirty five years in the restaurant business where he touched many lives as he was a faithful follower of Jesus. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and Finance Chairman in the church’s early beginnings. Ken enjoyed playing golf and was an avid Georgia Football fan.
He is survived by wife, Phyllis A. Massey of Juliette, four sons, Curt Massey, Chris (Amy) Massey, Rev. Chad (Amy) Massey and Christopher Massey, grandchildren; Cassie, Mallory, Tyler, Noah, Marissa, Paige and Hunter, sister, June (Otis) Dupree, brother, Jerry Massey and several nieces and nephews.
