Larry “Dream” Edward Davidson, 56, died Friday, June 17, 2011 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Monty Febuary will officiate. The family will meet friends from 7 – 9 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Davidson, son of the late Robert Oliver Davidson, Jr. and Nellie Mimbs Davidson, was a lifelong resident of Macon and a graduate of Southwest High School. He was a retired softball umpire and coach and a member of the National Softball Association. Before becoming disabled, Mr. Davidson played softball and was an avid fan, coach and umpire. He was the brother of the late Donald Davidson.
Survivors include his son, James (Lydia) Davidson of Macon; his sister, Cynthia Faye Davidson of Illinois; his niece, Jamey Hendrix of Lawrenceville; his nephew, Keith Davidson of Warner Robins and several aunts and uncles.
