Loette Glosson Anderson, 101, of Macon, Georgia, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2022 after a short illness. A graveside service will be held at 11A.M. Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at the Journey Baptist Church Cemetery which was formerly the Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery located on Columbus Road with the Rev. Paul Dziadul officiating.
Mrs. Anderson, the daughter of the late Grover Glosson and Annie Williamson Glosson, was born on September 9, 1920 in Macon, Georgia. She spent many years as a homemaker and devoted wife. She was well known for her excellent culinary skills, and she was also a talented artist who enjoyed painting and making crafts as gifts for loved ones.
Mrs. Anderson was known and loved by many throughout her long and full life. As a resident of John Wesley Villas for the past seven and a half years, she enjoyed greeting each new resident and learning about the lives of her fellow residents and the staff. Mrs. Anderson loved joking around, and she was quite a prankster, particularly on April Fools Day. She enjoyed playing Bingo and was an enthusiastic storyteller. While she was fiercely independent, she appreciated the care of the staff at John Wesley and she adored her family, always eager for visits from those she loved most.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Anderson; her son, James Ronald Brassell; her brothers, Kenneth Glosson and Harold Glosson; and her niece, Angela Glosson Babu.
She is survived by her niece, Becky Milton (Joe) of Brunswick, Georgia; nephew-in-law, KJ Babu of Anacortes, Washington; great-niece, Tiffani Milton Brantley (Michael) of Woodstock, Georgia; and great-niece, Tara Milton Lynch (Mike) of Forsyth, Georgia.
The family wishes to thank the staff of John Wesley Villas for the excellent care that their aunt received while residing there.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Mrs. Anderson’s memory to The Angel Ministry of First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1415, Brunswick, Georgia 31521.
Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
