Lue Bertha Green, 96, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 26, 2024. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church with Pastor Bobby Williams, Jr. and Pastor Belvin Ware officiating. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Lue Bertha was born in Barnswell, South Carolina to the late James Henry and Laura Knight. She was preceded in death by her children, Frankie Green, Nelson Benjamin, and a granddaughter, Adrienne, and siblings, Sammie, Elizabeth, Rufus, Richmond, Robert and Tiny. Lue Bertha was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church for sixty plus years. She loved her children, flowers, cooking and quilting. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Green, Jr., children, Essie Morgan, Cynthia Patty Jones, Lue Bertha Street, Jamard Sanders, daughter-in-law, Minnie Benjamin, grandchildren, Leroy, Thatis, Venus, Rachael, James Jr., Yoshonda, Ursula, Jandy and Yolonda, Alan and Belinda, and numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
