Lula “LuLu” Haralson Floyd, 88, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, April 27, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Macon Memorial Park Veterans Mausoleum with the Rev. Benjamin Newberry officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Lula was born on November 6, 1937, in Macon, Georgia to the late J.C. (Hard-Rock) and Ethel Payne Haralson. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lee Floyd. Lula attended A. L. Miller High School and retired from Robins Air Force Base. She was a former member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and Pine Forest Baptist Church. She enjoyed dancing at the VFW and Moose Lodge and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, John L. Floyd Jr. (Jay) (Jimmy Adams) of Chattanooga, TN and Scarlett (Dale) Mathis of Lizella, grandchildren, Aubrey Floyd and Loren Floyd, Jason (Susanna) Mathis, Michael Mathis, Chelsea (Allen) Edwards, great grandchildren, Carter and Callie Edwards, Camilla and Victoria Mathis and Aviana Mathis and sisters, Dorothy Warren and Betty Jo (Jimmy) Marshall and several nieces and nephews.
