Malcolm Everett Lane, 89, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 17, 2026. A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church with Rev. Jon Beck officiating. Burial will be at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church, 6611 Zebulon Road, Macon GA 31220.
Malcolm was born in Barnesville, Georgia to the late Clay A. and Annie Kate Newton Lane. He was preceded in death by his three sisters and a brother. He retired from Robins Air Force Base and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Usher and a member of the Seekers Sunday School Class. Malcolm was at Mason Lodge 5 for over seventy years. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-eight years, Lynda Lane, daughter, Laura (Keith) Hood, son, Mark (Radena) Lane, grandchildren, Anna (Drew) Bloser, Emily (Quinton) Syler, Racara (Luke) Mastervick, Caleb (Lauren) Lane, Adison (Colby) Lewis, and seven great grandchildren.
