Marion Davis Harrell, lovingly known as “Gee”, 88, passed away Friday, February 19, 2016. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Rob Robinson will officiate. The family will greet friends beginning at 1:00 PM at the funeral home before going down to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Morningside of Macon for their care given to Mrs. Harrell.
Mrs. Harrell was born in Macon the daughter of the late Glodie Moulton Davis and Lonnie L. Davis and was the widow of Jackson E. Harrell. She was a member of Thomaston Road Church of Christ and was a dietician known as the “number 1 cook” at River North and Tattnall Academies. She loved her Georgia Bulldogs and was an avid Mark Richt fan. Mrs. Harrell enjoyed camping and traveling especially with her grandchildren and her family.
Mrs. Harrell is survived by her children, Marjorie Davidson (Jim) of Byron, Michael Harrell of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Scott Edge (Amy), Dana Turner (Gregg), Blaine Harrell (Sonya), and Lori Adams (Andy); great-grandchildren, Jessica Edge, Peyton, Jack, & Davis Turner, Griffin & Garrett Arnold, Nathan & Michael Harrell; siblings, Bert Davis (Nita), and Alton Davis (Shirley); numerous nieces and nephews.
