Marlene Carmichael Watts, 85, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017. Graveside services will be held Friday, March 3, 2017 at 1:00pm in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Anthony McPhail officiating. The family will greet friends from 12:00pm until service time at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to All About Animals, 101 Riverside Drive, Macon, 31201.
Marlene was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Eddie and Ola Blackshear Carmichael and was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Watts; and sisters, LaRue Rickman and Cherie Varner. She was a bookkeeper with Fickling and Walker for over 30 years and most currently, with Cigna. Marlene was of the Methodist faith and loved animals and fishing.
Survivors include her children, Alyce Hufnagel and Craig Watts; grandson, Hunter Hufnagel; and brother, Hoagy (Joan) Carmichael.
