Mary Avery Twilley, 71, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 20, 2021 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Mrs. Mary was born in Macon to the late Horace N. Avery Sr. and Betty Willingham (Johnny). She was a seamstress and worked for Wal-Mart. Mrs. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Twilley, III; brothers, Horace Avery, Jr. and Terry Avery; and her brother-in-law, David Twilley.
Survivors include her children, Kelly Bates (Tony Teston), Kimberly Bell (Timothy) and David Twilley (Sheree); 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren with one on the way; sisters, Sandy Zweily, Cele Lister (Guy), Trellie Gay, Joy Wilkes, Cathey Avery, Ann Brewer and Rosa Twilley; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
